International Cooperation Department
1. Functions
The Department of International Cooperation (DIC) of HUST provides consultancy for the President in planning, managing and organizing activities to sustain its relationship with international universities, research institutes, governmental and non-governmental organizations and oversea Vietnamese according to the State’s regulation.
2. Responsibilities
- Organizing and monitoring HUST’s international
cooperation activities within HUST’s relationship with
international universities, scientific and technical
organizations, international organizations and
scientists, oversea Vietnamese, etc. in order to
encourage technical and financial support for HUST.
- Taking advantage of international cooperation to
attract findings, scholarships from international
organizations and education and research institutions
for HUST’s development and international integration
through human resource training and scientific research.
- Making strategic recommendations to the Presidents
on international cooperation. Making immediate and long
term cooperation plans to submit to the President for
approval and implementing these plans to ensure optimal
benefits to HUST.
- Under the President’s direction, contacting
international partners and international organizations;
coordinating HUST’s technical units’ supports for the
President during negotiation and agreement signing with
its partners for mutual interest.
- Collaborating with and supporting HUST’s units in their international cooperation; developing projects, organizing receptions, dealing with entrance and exit procedures for visitors to HUST.
- Monitoring the implementation of ongoing international cooperation projects to report to the President in time and making appropriate and effective recommendations.

 Doan Xuan Huong: Responsible for coordinating on-site
scholarships, short-term courses, developing relationships with
foreign invested companies, and involved directly in World Bank
project, Cisco.

Nguyen Hoai Quan: Responsible for processing
immigration procedures for international guests at the
invitation of HUST Management Board; supporting and guiding
entry and exit procedures for HUST's in/out delegations;
monitoring activities in the framework of AUF and bilateral
cooperation with French speaking countries; Translating and
verifying documents in Vietnamese and French. |
 Nguyen Hong Hanh: Responsible for monitoring
cooperative activities in the framework of ASEA UNINET;
cooperation with universities, research institutes and
organizations in Asia except for Japan, Korea; translating and

Thai Linh Thu: Responsible for monitoring HUST’s
activities with universities and research institutes and
organizations in Korea, European (Except German, Austria and
French speaking countries); translating and certifying documents

 Doan Thu Trang: Responsible for coordinating
cooperative activites in the framework of AUN/SEED - net, SEATUC,
GMSARN, GMSTEC; monitoring cooperation with universities,
research centers and organizations in Australia and New Zealand.
