Safran Aeronautical Conference at Hanoi University of Science and TechnologyOn April 10th & 11th2012, HUST and SAFRAN co-organized an aeronautical conference promoting many international activities in the fields of Aerospace, Defense and Security. There were many experts and participants from Safran companies such as Turbomeca - helicopter engines manufacturer, Messier-Bugatti-Dowty - aircraft landing and braking systems manufacturer, Snecma - commercial aircraft engines supplier, and Sagem - specialist of avionics equipments and navigation systems. This conference focused on some main topics including the wheels and carbon brakes, the helicopter engines, the new regional jet propulsion SaM146, the inertial navigation system, and the leading aerospace technologies in the world.
There are some other representatives from aeronautical organizations, associations and companies in Vietnam joining this conference as well, i.e. the Civil Aviation Authority, the Vietnam Aerospace Association, Vietnam Airlines, AESC, VACL, ect. The conference created a valuable opportunity for Vietnamese aeronautics students, experts and entrepreneurs in approaching, exchanging the “state-of-art” technologies and to open up the prospective cooperation in this field. On this occasion of conference, the Safran Group awarded 4 month internship scholarship for excellent HUST students in Aeronautical engineering in cohort 53 to the Safran Singapore. During the two-day conference, both Safran Group and HUST committed to maintain this cooperation in training advanced aeronautical engineers in Vietnam.
